Newly Constructed Log Cabin 16'x20' Getaway / Fishing
We have for sale a newly constructed authentic log cabin. This cabin was constructed using the old time steeple notch corner. The cabin size is 16'x20', the loft is 16'x10'. The main poplar logs are sawed 8" thick, the floor joists are 4"x6" poplar of 16" centers, and the poplar beam under the center of the floor is 10"x10" with notch on both sides for poplar floor joist to set in. The spruce flooring is 1-1/2" thick by random widths.
Loft has 10"x10" oak beam that is notched on one side for 4"x6" poplar sleeper on 24" center. Deck on loft is also spruce 1-1/2" random widths. Roof is Northstar steel with 4"x6" poplar rafters at about 10/12 pitch with 2"x4" poplar perlins on 2' centers. Also furnished with 1"x8" poplar siding board with 3/4"x2-1/2" batten boards for gable end.
Chinking can be of your choice, whether it's the new style pliable chink, or old style styrofoam and mortar. Doors and windows can be added once cabin is reconstructed It's a lot easier to set whole logs than several pieces. Foundation can be full basement, crawl space, or just piers.
