For use with 50 - 150W HPS Lamps running at 52-55 volts
Ignitor housing must be grounded
The Rapid Smart Start lamp reignitor is an electronic device designed to cold start and rapidly restart hot HPS lamps after momentary power interruptions or drops in supply voltage.
- Minimizes delays or hesitation during hot lamp restarting
- Prevents End of Life lamps from continuous cycling over long periods of time
- Operates with most 52-55 volt HPS lamps between 50-150 watts
- Remains unaffected by stray voltages, moderate overvoltages, as well as undervoltage conditions
- Drops into the background during normal lamp operation with less than 1.3% insertion loss
- Hot restart time is typically less than .5 second, but may vary due to lamp construction, ballast design and ballast supply voltage
- Starter operation will not exceed one minute under failed lamp condition
- Starter reset time is typically less than 800 milliseconds after ballast supply voltage has been removed
- Starting voltage pulse peaks less than 5KV (with mogul base lamp)
- Operation is independent of ballast X3 lead, allowing for remote ballast applications
- Starter must be located within 12 of lamp socket
- Power consumption during normal lamp operation less than .3%
- Case temperature rating of 105C
