The Standard Steam Specialty Co;
This is an old vintage advertising trade catalog, issued by the Standard Steam Specialty Co., New York, NY, Nov. 1908. It includes an additional, separate catalog or bulletin (6 pages, illustrated), a 6-panel brochure of additional technical diagrams, and a stapled sheaf of 10 small copies of company references, each with an example of their stationery letterhead (American Lead Pencil Co., Gloversville Knitting Co., Hudson County Consumer's Brewing Co., etc).
The main red-covered catalog measures 5 by 10 inches and has 24 pages (all but two are single-sided); illustrated with many technical diagrams with data for Utility Exhaust Mufflers, Oil Separator, Return Tank, Pump Governor, Feed Water Heater, etc., and 4-page price list. The 6-panel brochure has some of the same diagrams on it.
The newsletter-type catalog measures8.5 by 10.5 inches, has 6 pages, with 12 b&w photos and text describing their Utility Line of Utility Exhaust Muffler, Oil Separator, Return Tank, Pump Governor, and Feed Water Heater.
The red catalog has chipping and small tears and a sticker in the top-left corner area, minor corner creases, wrinkling along the spine, tight staples, , chipping to top edge of back cover, small chips to top edges of the first two pages; pages have tanning to top edge, otherwise clean. The bulletin catalog has vertical crease, edge tanning, small water stains at corners; sheaf of references has some heavy edge wear to first several pages, tanning to edges. Condition overall is Good.
