COSMOS GAS DETECTION SYSTEMS - DETECTOR HEAD MODEL GM-PS-6AH
All GM-PS-6 series detector heads consist of a chassis, a pump unit, a sensor unit, and an internal microprocessor that performs diagnostic and measurement tasks. The sample is drawn into the detector through a filter and monitored by the flow meter. The measured value of gas concentation is sent to the control system as a 4-20mA signal. A modular sample pump draws a continuous and consistent sample across the sensor cell. This enables the detector head to be placed near the point of measurement, but makes it easily accessible for the maintenance. In addition, the sample draw design maximizes the life of the sensor, particularly in high flow rate applications. The sample pump is modular, and is easily removed and installed, with minimum downtime. In addition, the GM-PS-6AH detercor head models also include and LED digital concentration display, and relay contacts for lo and hi alarm points, and fault. These features enable these detector heads, where no central control unit is employed. Or to minimize wiring, the built in relay contacts can be used to initiate alarms or shutdowns that are more local to the head than to the central controller.
