74H08 74H08N quad 2-input and dil 14 pin
This is a quad 2-input AND chip. Not as flexible design wise as a quad 2-input Nand but sometimes " hurts the brain less" from a logic point of view.
The 74H family is the same basic design as the 7400 family with resistor values reduced. This reduces the typical propagation delay from 9ns to 6ns but increased the power consumption. These chips were rendered obsolete by Shottky (S) series but are necessary as exact replacements in 1970's computers. These are "commercial" grade chips and should not be used as replacements in military equipment where their "Mil. Spec." equivalents are extensively used.
