Rebuilt Wells Manufacturing Corp Metal Band Saw Model # 8-M-42 Ser. # 4323. I took most everything apart, cleaned, sand blasted , primed, painted, and reassembled this saw. Everything is in very good condition. When I sandblasted I did discover a couple repairs, the left rear leg had a crack that was rewelded and the swivel clamp plate has been brazed at the far end of the slot where the stud bolt rides. These repairs were well done and strong. I changed the motor to a Delta No. 62-245, 3/4 hp 1725 rpm 115/230v 11.4/5.7a 1 phase, 1.0 SF, Continuous rated. I also changed the Start/Stop button to a more modern version from a Delta vertical band saw. New wire from the motor to the Start/Stop button in seal tite conduit. There are 3 extra sets of blade cleaner brushes, an extra blade guide mount # M92. I put on a new carbon flex back 14 tpi blade and it has only been used to align the blade to cut true. Blade length is 11'6". Saw capacity is 8 x16. Three blade speeds by changing the belt on pulleys. This is a good running machine ready to give years of service. I have the original 3 phase motor starter if you want it.
