This more a comment for your information, do with it as you will. Judging by the color, or rather the lack of it. I would say that the item isn't pyrex, but is more likely to be one of the many optical glasses intended for transmission optics. Pyrex type glasses are usually slightly yellow (corning) or very slightly blueish (schott/ohara). Just thought you might like to know.
