Here is some information from the manufacturer. Please note that these are specs for the "1400ab" unit. The system being sold is a "1400a". Some specifications may vary a little. Please call or email if you have any specific questions.
The time resolution of the Series 1400ab Monitor allows users to identify episodes and determine trends in real time. When used in conjunction with meteorological data or information from gasous criterial pollutant analyzers, the instrument can provide vital information in the study of human health effects.
Other applications of time-sensitive data include source identification and control, short-term compliance monitoring, emergency response, forensic investigations and numerical modeling.
* Direct measurement of particulate mass collected on a filter using Thermo Scientific tapered element oscillating microbalance (TEOM) technology.
