Quantel SF41007 nd:yag laser units,7MM rods, continuum

Quantel SF41007 Nd:YAG Laser Units
For sale- a pair of Quantel SF41007 Nd:YAG laser units. These are not a laser system, just the rod holder assembly. They do have rods installed, which are 7mm by about 4 long. Overall the holder assembly is about double that, as the rod appears to be recessed in about 2 on either end. As I think you can see this is a water cooled laser assembly, with this pair sharing one circulator (which is not included). I assume they have flashlamps on board as well. I have used the brand name Continuum in the listing title only because Quantel eventually became Continuum. These pieces predates that and do not say Continuum on them anywhere.
This particular laser pair I am pretty confident was part of the Global Tropospheric Experiment, which was responsible for discovering the hole in the earth s ozone layer. They were a component in what I assume was a custom built laser, with a similar 9mm assembly downstream, all mounted to a Kinetic Systems Vibraplane base.
I had two identical laser units, each fed into a Jobin Yvon Dye laser unit. I have one of the Jobin Yvon pieces listed currently. A number of the small optical parts from one of the Quantel/Vibraplane units have been sold, the other is still relatively intact minus an optical isolator. So for now I am just selling the Nd:YAG lasers here, plus the other one in a separate listing, but I have another set just like them on the other more complete laser unit. And I think I may have a copper cover that goes over these, but I would have to check to make sure.
Looking through the rods mounted here, end to end, it is clear with a slight pinkish hue. I really don t know what to look for, but a university professor that bought a Continuum laser from me took a look at them and said the optics looked good. That isn t a guarantee, just his observation. If you want a peek send me an email and I will send you a picture looking through it. But the piece is completely untested, and no warranty is offered.
UPDATE: the size of the rod seems to be of particular interest, so I have measured it again more carefully. The body of the laser, not including the base, is approximately 210mm long. The rod is recessed in the length of the end pieces, which is 50mm on both sides, making the length of the rod approximately 110mm.
