The Wildhorse Innovations' DRO-350 is the Premier DRO for small to medium applications.
This inexpensive DRO is available in an easily assembled kit form to reduce costs. Moderate soldering skills are required for assembly as well as a minimum of hand tools.
These kits come with a fully machined enclosure and with all parts clearly marked in individual bags. Also included with each part is a list of the PC Board location for the part(s). Internal wiring harnesses are preassembled to the extent possible (some wiring harnesses cannot have the final soldering performed until the component(s) are mounted in the enclosure.
Features of the DRO-350 include:

* Upgrade paths include the ability to install new firmware versions through the built in serial programming port using free Windows software.
* Input for external device such as Tachometer, Electronic Edge Finder or Limit Switches.
* Operates from an inexpensive 9vdc, 1.2amp "wall wart" power supply (not included).
* Fast scale reading with a display update rate of up to 50 times a second per axis.
* Power for the scales is provided by the DRO-350, eliminating the need to be constantly replacing batteries.
