Freeze dryer machine north star 3600 (most popular)
Specimen chamber is 36 inches in diameter and 66 inches long.
Our unit was completely refurbished with new refrigeration systems in 2006 and only used for two years. The refrigeration compressors are Copeland #RS80C2E-CAV-101, and they were charged with a NON-CFC refrigerant, #R402A (HP80). These systems could also be charged with other refrigerants if this one is not available. Other refrigerants that would work are
R507 (AZ50), R404, and R408A. The systems would have to be totally drained, the dryer filter replaced, and the system flushed with dry nitrogen gas, before recharging.
Our machine has 75 square feet of drying area on 7 shelf levels, and 14 removable trays.
