X-Rite 508 Portable Reflection Spectrodensitometer (508)
The X-Rite 508 Spectrodensitometer brings the newest color control technology to a device designed specifically for basic 4-color reproduction. X-Rite includes specialized 4-color newsprint functions within the X-Rite 508 Spectrodensitometer to ensure color accuracy and consistency across press runs and over time. These include newsprint-specific density functions and gray balance.
* Spectrally Based - all of X-Rite's 500 Series models capture high-resolution spectrophotometric data, which is used as the basis for all of our color and density values.
* Large Interactive Display - the X-Rite 508 Spectrodensitometer has a large, crisp graphic display configurable for left- or right-handed operation. It also features full menu commands in multiple languages.
* Intelligent User Interface - an intuitive key-pad uses universally understood up/down arrow keys and a select key to easily navigate menu items. A "back" and an "escape" key allow for quick and easy navigation.
* On Target - unprecedented microspot aperature size that is as small as 1.6 x 3.2mm, which makes short work of targeting special-color or density measurements.
* Ergonomic Design - fits naturally in your hand. The targeting she clearly pinpoints the measurement area so you get the right measurement every time.
The Basic 508 comes with a Standard Medium Spot Size 3.4mm (.13 in.) Aperture.
