Aluminum jump ring sawcut 16G 5/16 chainmail chain mail

All rings were hand cut by me on a special rig that I built, The Ringinator . All rings are polished, clean, and ready to use.
Each ring is cut with a 0.010" thick jewelers saw. That leaves both ends of the ring looking like so: || Once closed the rings have no visible seam. Perfect for jewelry and clothing! Add a nice row of trim to that cool shirt of yours.
In order to make rings long coils are first made. These look like springs. Then they are fed through the special jig that we have developed, The Ringinator . This uses a very thin jewelers saw to cut the individual rings off of the coil.
We are able to cut almost any size coil. From tiny 1/8" coils made out of 22 gauge wire (0.020") all the way up to huge 5" coils made from thick 1/4" round rods.
One of the advantages of this system is that almost any metal can be cut. We have made rings from Aluminum all the way to Zirconium.
Once the rings are cut they are covered in metal dust and coated in a thick layer of oil. The oil lubricates the blades and makes the cut much smoother.
The rings are then tumbled in our tumbler for up to 24 hours. This gives all rings a shiny mirror like finish. It also removes any sharp edges and cleans them.
