Old set of near mint condition Mound Tool Co. bearing scrapers in original wooden box.
4 curved, edged scrapers with tangs, 10-1/4" - 16-1/2" long. One triangular shaped tool that looks like a parting tool, 10" long. One 12" long round tool with working ends as shown. 6 pieces in all. All marked ' Mound Tool Co ' except round tool.
I understand that these are used by machinists, millwrights and builders of hit & miss and steam engines. In any case, if you need them, you'll know all about them.
From an old estate, these are in superb condition. They might be unused, but I can't say for sure. They haven't been re-sharpened and there is no paint wear on the tangs where a handle would be installed. No nicks, no chips, no rust. The box is solid but somewhat rough.
