50A is the coolest cutting of the aluminum oxide family and is designed for light infeeds. .001 and less (stock removal). White in color.
White aluminum oxide grinding wheel typically used on tool & cutter grinders, surface grinders and cylindrical grinders Smaller wheels can also be used on bench & pedestal grinders. Primarily used to grind hardened steels and tool steels (Rockwell 'C' >45). Less friable than white, use where a slightly more aggressive wheel is needed. Suitable for wet or dry grinding but best results will be achieved with coolant. Vitrified bond. Medium hardness (H, I, J or K letter grade) is suitable for most applications.
