PRECISION SINE GRINDING VISE MEASURES 3" WIDE x 3-5/8" TALL x 7-1/2" LONG AND OPENS TO 4-3/4"ACCORDING TO OUR CATALOG. JAW DEPTH IS 1-5/16". SQUARE AND PARALLEL TO .0002" ACCORDING TO SPI CATALOG. THE VISE HAS (2) TAPPED HOLES IN FIXED JAW FOR 1/4X20 SCREWS FOR STOPS. SOLD BY STARRETT OR MADE BY TOOLMAKER. extremely useful for accurate grinding, having the following features:
* Body is solid one piece of steel hardened like the rest of the sine vise, Hardened steel Rc 58-62
* Ground square, and parallel within .0002" (0.005mm)
* Jaw pressure on workpiece is forward and downward for repeatable positioning and maximum holding power
* Jaw opening 4-3/4", jaw depth 1 5/16"
* The movable jaw is slightly narrower than the base, enabling the vise to be used on its side
* A 1/4-20 tapped hole is provided in each side of the solid jaw to allow the use of a stop for repetitive operations
* Ratchet mechanisim with notched pockets and solid drawbar as shown.
