I am offering for your consideration one fully tested and functional Hewlett Packard HP 5335A Universal Counter (S/N 2224A03216) in excellent condition with these options installed:
010 High Stability Time Base (HP 10811-60111 10 MHz Crystal Oven) - This option gives you a very stable frequency measurement standard!
Unit comes with four feet, and two front bail stands for bench top operation.
The HP 5335A remains one of the most useful frequency counters that HP has ever made. You would be proud to display this counter on your work bench! It is in excellent condition, and is very clean! I have removed all stickers and residue using a non-marring method, and cleaned the unit inside and out. There are a few scuffs from previous usage, but these will not affect your ability to use and enjoy owning this fine Hewlett Packard instrument.
I have made a considerable effort to align and test this unit for functionality and for your peace of mind! This unit arrived in my shop with showing Error 7.0 during self-tests. The trouble was traced back to a bad edge card connector between the power supply board (A1) and the amplifier support board (A2). I solder in a spare connector and the error was gone. I then aligned and calibrated each adjustment indicated in the Operating and Service Manual to provide factory-fresh performance! Alignment included power supply voltage levels, 10 MHz oscillator frequency (Opt 010), External Arming Circuit TTL level, Input Amplifier Offset and Hysteresis tuning, Input Amplifier Peak Detector DC levels, and Level Shifter settings. After adjustments, I performed the 86 Operator and Performance Checks (per applicable options) and each passed its specification on April 6, 2010. After testing, I performed the final calibration on the High Stability Time Base using a highly accurate HP Z3801 GPS frequency standard. The 10811-60111 shows exceptional accuracy with a final variance of 2.33E-11 (0.000233 Hz). I also verified that the HP-IB interface was sending and receiving data. You will receive the completed Operation Verification Record and Performance Test Card with the unit.

8 - Channel B passing the 100 MHz sensitivity test well within the 25 mV specification!
9 - Shows the frequency accuracy after a 20 minute warm-up period from cold start, both with and without the frequency standard attached. Final adjustment was made after a four-hour warm-up period.
10 - shows the 5335A passing self tests.
The unit will be securely packed in a double-cardboard box with plenty of cushioning.
Only the 5335A is included, which means cables, cords, manuals, or other incidentals are not included (see the Special Offer above).
