I was able to make a special purchase of these very high quality 25 Watt NTE Electronics "Sand" resistors. They are still sealed in their original packaging. The package is marked FLAMEPROOF RESISTOR at the bottom. This means that if something in your circuit shorted and you ran way more that 25 Watts through the resistor it would not catch on fire or set fire to anything else.
