This is a field tape recorder with voice activated recording. This was used by the Sergeant at Arms recording studio. We have tested this and it works well. The voice activated recording works as intended, sound is clear. An optional 6V adapter can be found for this unit, not included. It does run off of 4 C batteries, also not included.
The leather cover protects the recorder for field work. You can attach optional remote controller and a mic, or use the built in mic. The volume can be adjusted for VOR sensitivity and REC/PB volume (inner and outer dials move independantly of each other.)
The meter on the front shows levels for recording and if the green button is pressed, battery life.
