Bunn cds ultra nose suction gaskets, 26780.0000
This is a pair of brand new silicone front suction gaskets for the Bunn CDS-2 or Ultra-2 machine. These go over the auger shaft behind the auger. You get two gaskets with each purchase.
These gaskets are important because they serve as a second line of defense against a leak around the auger shaft seal. Ideally these gaskets should not turn - they should remain in place as the auger shaft turns inside them. We call them "suction" gaskets vecause when installed properly they will suction on to the silver cooling drum.
These gaskets do get stained over time, depending on the product you are serving. Coffee products are the worst offenders followed by mixes with lots of artificial food coloring Stained gaskets will start to harden before non-stained gaskets, and you want these gaskets to remain nice and pliable to help them stop leakage. If the gaskets are hard, become loose or will not "suction" on to the silver cooling drum, you should replace them. These gaskets help to keep product away from the auger shaft seal.
