3M GVP - Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR)
Belt-Mounted - No Long Supply Hoses to Pull Around. Powered air purifying respirators (PAPRs) are motorized systems that use a filter to clean ambient air before it is delivered to the user. These positive pressure systems afford a higher level of protection than face masks alone, as the user is not dependent on the integrity of a face mask seal to prevent exposure. 3M's GVP model PAPR will supply purified air to any 3M FULL facepiece respirator [6000 (requires DIN Adapter #6884) or 7000 Series], H-Series hood, or L-Series headgear. It provides protection for a wide range of applications, including paint spraying, grinding, sanding and welding. Available with a webbing belt or padded comfort belt. Features: A PAPR system typically includes a choice of headpiece, breathing tube, appropriate filter or cartridge and the PAPR assembly, which includes the blower, battery (and charger), a filter housing, flowmeter, belt, and additional accessories.. GVP-1 PAPR assembly includes: GVP-100 motor blower, GVP-110 power cord, GVP-111 battery pack, GVP-112 battery charger, GVP-113 flowmeter, GVP-128 web shoulder strap, GVP-115 blower plugs, GVP-116 filter plugs, and GVP-127 webbing waist belt. GVP-CB PAPR "Comfort Belt" assembly includes: all the components of the GVP-1, but instead of the webbing belt and shoulder strap, includes a CB-1000 padded waist belt, similar to a "back support/lifting" belt; fits 26 to 54 waists. GVP-PSK PAPR (shown in the illustration) is a ready-to-use kit which includes a GVP-CB PAPR Assembly plus an L-122 breathing tube, L-501 Helmet, and a GVP-441 organic vapor/HEPA filter cartridge.
