Pristine Condition, New In Box
From the estate of a long time Ham radio operator and collector comes this pristine James Millen Type 90651 Grid Dip Meter. This gorgeous dipper from 1949 features seven tuning bands, and is complete with a plug-in coil for each band. The coils are labeled with their frequency range as well as a color dot corresponding to the color dot on the dipper dial. It has its original box and a fifteen page instruction manual including schematic. It is made to plug in to the 120 volt AC line. The line cord is still soft and pliable.
This unit covers 1.7 MHz to 300 MHz in seven overlapping bands.

Its condition is flawless, and it is clean as a whistle. This dipper appears as it was just taken out of its box for the first time. There are absolutely no signs of use at all. The factory inspectors tag is still attached to the coil caddy.
I have tested this unit on the two lowest bands and it performs as it should, showing a dip on the meter as the dipper frequency is swept through the tuned circuit frequency.
The James Millen Company was the leader in coils, tuned circuits, and radio tuners back when this was made. This is the grid dipper you ve been waiting for. You will not find a similar model in better condition than this one.
