PT50/200DV (Dual-Voltage 110/220 volt Automatic!)
Yep... true (not just a label) 50amp plasma cutter OUTPUT, 200 amp OUTPUT TIG/Stick combination. Only 25 lbs, the size of a breadbox, only draws 25 amps maximum, with a quality cut of 3/4 and will sever 1". Note: Our PT31 torch comes equipped with long Tips & Electrodes to quality cut
OPTIONS (Unique to Parker Metalworking machines):
High Voltage/High Frequency Arc start and Pilot Arc start functionality in one machine.
This machine comes standard with a High Voltage/High Frequency Arc start system which is what you ll want for general operation and especially for use when cutting expanded metals as it provides automatic proximity arc start while a Pilot Arc system does not!
As with all our plasma machines this machine can be optionally equipped with our proprietary Pilot Arc system. Although, Pilot Arc is commonly intended for use with CNC plasma tables it will also perform acceptably as a manual system.
The common purpose for using a Pilot Arc system is to eliminate the problem of RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) caused by a HV/HF arc start system... that can interfere with the CNC motor drive controller, causing motor position and other errors.
Be aware that Pilot Arc torches will not automatically retrigger at the next cut like a HV/HF arc start system. This can be less than desirable when cutting expanded metals like chain link fence for example as a Pilot Arc system loses it s cutting arc once the cut is done and requires the user to wait for the post air to stop flowing (torch reset) before retriggering the torch at the next cut point.
This is why HV/HF arc start is best for manual operation in my oppinion.
However, for those that want to follow the current market trend of Pilot Arc machine promotion and insist on having a machine with Pilot Arc for manual operation we ve got you covered.
With our machines you can get both arc start systems in one machine!
If you choose to add our Pilot Arc option we will include a Pilot Arc plasma torch, and our proprietary technical modifications, which allows the user to switch between HV/HF arc start and Pilot arc start modes of operation with a flip of a switch and a quick torch change.
This means you ll have both High Voltage/High Frequency Arc start and Pilot Arc start functionality in one machine. Again, if you will be using this machine on CNC plasma table a pilot arc system is a must.
Our optional Pilot Arc feature will also include an electrically isolated Cut Arc Valid output signal ported to the outside of the machine and available for your use. This signal can be used to tell your CNC controller and/or CNC driver software that a cutting arc in fact has been established.
In addition, our Pilot Arc system is protected from over-heating and potential fires that have been reported with pilot arc systems on some other brands of machines coming from China. If the internal switch within the Pilot Arc torch did not open for some reason, immediate and extreme overheating of the ballast resistor would occur. This dangerous situation cannot occur with our machines due to our built in protection circuit designed and installed by Parker MP. (NOTE: Our safety modification can be installed on other brands of machines with Pilot Arc. Call for free evaluation and repair quote.)
Foot Pedal Option (OUR CONTROLLER!)
We also offer a foot pedal for this machine. This option will include our controller that provides proper dynamic control especially at low current settings where you want and need precision.
Just set the maximum current for the Foot Pedal (Foot Pedal Down) with the front panel control. The foot pedal will provide you with dynamic current control from minimum to that maximum. So you can see that as you lower the maximum setting, the foot pedal precision increases, providing the precision needed and desired for thin welds. With our controller the Foot Pedal resolution is adjustable.
Other sellers of similar machines only provide a simple bypass of the front panel current control. Which means the foot pedal will always control output current from minimum to the MACHINE S maximum. The Foot Pedal maximum current is NOT adjustable therefore the resolution of the foot pedal cannot be adjusted, which makes it virtually useless for thin welds.
* 50 Amp Plasma Cutter, 200 Amp DC TIG/Stick Welder (Stick has reversible polarity function)
(NOTE: This machine can be purchased as a 40/160DV for a smaller price)
* Air Regulator/Moisture Filter for Plasma
* Plasma Torch PT31 Standard. (Great torch, inexpensive consumables, reversible/dual-use electrodes)
