Discussion: Why run out of drills? Drill indexes are great, they keep you organized-or they try to- but you know as well as I do that after you use a bit a few times it becomes dull, and it is human nature to just put the dull drill back in the index. The drills which are used the most (and break the most) are the small screw machine sizes, 1/4" and smaller. Not surpisingly, they are often the ones missing from your drill index. Wouldn't it be nice to have several sharp drill bits handy when you need them?
