If you are a Drake collector, want a classic receiver from the 70s, love nixie tubes this may be the receiver you are looking for. Here is an excerpt from the introduction of the manual (included):
This receiver is a commercial grade communications receiver employing the most up to date solid state devices and circuitry. It provides continuous coverage from 10 khz to 30 mhz with the received frequency displayed on a digital readout to the closest 100 khz. All frequency injections of the receiver are controlled by a phase-locked digital synthesizer which allows incremental frequency selection in 10, 1, and 0.1 mhz steps.
The MSR-FM-P is essentially a DSR-2 with the addition of FM reception.
Modes: USB, LSB, CW, RTTY, AM, ISB, FM
Pictured is the receiver receiving AM and SSB signals on various bands. WWV reception confirms the accuracy of the display at 5, 10, and 15 mhz.
I've had this receiver for about a year but interests and space needs mean it needs the next home of a person who values this exceptional piece of equipment.
The front panel is in very good condition. A few very minor nicks on the handles, very minor oxidation on the front panel screws but otherwise a 9+ in cosmetics. The top and bottom covers have the usual scruffs from being slid in and out of its home over the years but you will probably want to rack mount this or put it into a nice case.
