Lockable Storage Safe / Vault w/Electromagnetic Lock
This is a used Steel Lockable Storage Vault w/ 24v DC Electromagnetic Lock. It is is good cosmetic condition. There are a few scrapes and scratches to the painted finish. The vault is equipped with a 24v DC electromagnetic lock. This is the only means of keeping the vault locked. The outside handle is for pulling the door open, and does not physically hold the door shut. This vault is equipped with a battery backup (except for the battery, which was removed), alarm and monitor. We equipped the vault with a 24v DC transformer to test the electromagnetic lock. This transformer is included. As configured, the vault door will stay locked as long as 24 v DC (via the transformer) is present.
There is a 1/2" hole for the power cord located on the side near the top of the vault. At this penetration, the vault appears to be double walled, with styrofoam insulation in between. There is a decal inside the vault indicating that it was manufactured by Security Products, Inc. in Elm Mott, Texas.
There is no indication as to the fireproof rating, if any, of this vault.
We connected a 120 v AC to 24v DC transformer to the elctromagnetic lock. We then plugged the transformer into an ordinary household AC wall outlet. The electromagentic could be heard activating. We then attempted to open the vault door. We were unable to open the door as long as power was applied. We did not test the vault battery backup, monitor or any other functions. No further testing was done.

There are two adjustable stainless steel shelves included. They measure 20-1/2" wide x 15-1/2 deep.
There is also a steel shelf permanetly welded to the inside of the vault 10" from the top of the cabinet. It has an access panel that is secured by three screws. This is where the elctromagnet controls are located.
