If you know the gear data, specify:
Diametral Pitch between 3 and 48 or Metric Module between 1 and 8
Pressure Angle (14.5, 20, or 30 degrees)
Face Width (length of the gear tooth
Keyway width and depth (if any)
If you do not know the Diametral Pitch or Pressure angle:
You can still place an order. Simply supply the outside diameter of the gear, and two or more span measurements. A span measurement is the dimension over two or more teeth, where the caliper touches one flank of both teeth. For example, you might supply a span over 3 teeth, and a span over 4 teeth. From this information, we can reverse calculate the DP/Module, and Pressure Angle.
