FILL WITH WATER AND FREEZE THEM, KEEP THINGS COOL FOR A LONG TIME.

Even with a crack on the side of the lid, you stand the units up right and in the freezer the water freezes and then you put this into a stock pot of hot soup and it cools it down and ready to serve.
You might even have a new spare lid or alot of spare lids, that you can just swap it out for one. There are nothing wrong with the units.
