John deere 2 row planter , 7000 model units, notill


Something new: I have included with this planter a full set of sprockets (sized like the factory sprockets) and a reducing shaft and sprockets. This will allow the planter seed population (seed spacing within a row) to work just like the original factory planters. You can than use the chart from a 7000 or 7100 JD owners manual. I can include a copy if wanted. With the multiple combination of sprockets it will almost any population you want. "Driven" sprockets are stored on the driven shaft and the "driver" sprockets are stored conveniently inside the planter tool bar.
This planter is heavier than the 71 flex. Coupled with dual down pressure springs, this planter will notill. I know this from experience We have been notilling with a 12 row with similar units for years. But if you have extremely hard ground or extreme residue (200bu+ corn or sod), I can install notill coulters for $100 per row if you believe you need them.
Planter is very simple to operate. The 7000 series is known for being well built and dependable. This would be the perfect size for food plots or the smaller farmer.
